Hello readers (empty seats covered in dust), today I'm just going
to talk about when my computer was purchased, and it's specs and various other
things.
First I'll start with my system specs:
Manufacturer: Gateway
Model: MD2419U
Processor: AMD Anthlon (tm) X2 Dual-Core
QL65 2.10 GHz
RAM: 3 GB (2.75 GB Useable)
System: 64-Bit with Windows 7 Home Premium
So overall it isn't a bad computer, but it
isn't super great either. A few months ago I was considering purchasing some
RAM but My laptops capacity is only 4 GB so it wasn't worth it. I'm hoping to
purchase a new laptop within the next year or two and I've already found
another Gateway I like but it's too soon to buy and newer models will release
so I have no idea what i'll end up with. I will either purchase a Gateway or an
HP, again too soon to tell though.
Now when did I get my laptop? Well
honestly this upcoming Christmas will be it's fourth birthday, yep 4 years old
(so old). I'm surprised it still runs okay and hasn't died on me (I'm actually
very thankful for that). There has been numerous times where my laptop has
overheated and shutoff (probably close to like 50 or over 50) but it still
works and I hope it doesn't die any time soon.
I have a friend who builds PC’s and he promises to build me one
someday ( not anytime soon) but he has been very helpful in helping me view
laptops and showing me what to look for. Currently he was showing me a really good
deal on an ASUS but sadly I won’t be able to purchase it. I’m searching for
something with the minimum of 6 GB RAM and a processor greater than 2.10 GHz
and has a DVD drive. If I can find something less than $600 and has those then I’ll
be happy. I’m not looking for a very powerful laptop because I feel in 5 years
or so I will get a custom built PC and it’ll be great. For now I am just
looking for a current upgrade from my current laptop. I could probably push and
get one for Christmas but currently I’m really poor and am barely affording
college so it probably wouldn’t be wise if I bought a ‘want’ before a ‘need’.
Ultimately this ties into why this blog was created. I could
really use money and if I can partner my youtube account then I can save up and
use the money for my channel or to help pay off college. However that’s the
problem, I want to partner my youtube account and not my blog. I believe I did
something wrong while signing up for adsense but if I can get this blog
approved I can get my account approved and then I’ll be able to link it to my
youtube account. However I keep getting denied but I’ll continue this
information in tomorrows blog.
If you read everything than I thank you very much for taking the
time out of your day or night to do so! Bye for now!
